Job Overview
This is a part-time role designed for someone who thinks like a future CMO—not a traditional marketing executor. We are seeking a high-level Brand & Marketing Strategist to help define and guide marketing direction across a portfolio of growing businesses in construction, real estate, and emerging technology.
This is a strategy-first role, focused on customer insight, positioning, and communication—not day-to-day execution.
You will work directly with leadership to bring clarity to:
· Who we target
· How we position
· How we communicate across every stage of the customer journey
This role is designed to evolve into a full-time leadership position (Head of Marketing / CMO) as the business continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Market Strategy
· Identify and define primary and secondary customer segments
· Analyze market dynamics, competitors, and positioning opportunities
· Develop clear customer profiles, including motivations, decision drivers, and pain points
Brand Positioning & Messaging
· Define and refine brand positioning across multiple business lines
· Develop clear, differentiated value propositions
· Create messaging frameworks tailored to different audiences and channels
· Ensure consistency across all marketing and sales communication
Customer Journey & Communication Strategy
· Map the full customer journey (awareness → consideration → decision → post-sale)
· Identify key touchpoints and opportunities to improve engagement and conversion
· Define communication strategies for each stage, including:
Advertising messaging
Website and landing pages
Email and SMS follow-up
Sales alignment
Marketing & Funnel Alignment
· Audit existing marketing channels, campaigns, and funnels
· Identify gaps between brand, messaging, and sales execution
· Provide strategic recommendations to improve lead quality and conversion
Strategic Collaboration
· Work closely with leadership to align marketing with business objectives
· Provide guidance to internal team members or external vendors responsible for execution
· Support strategic planning for future marketing initiatives and growth
Qualifications
Required
· 5+ years of experience in marketing, brand strategy, or related field
· Proven experience in developing positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy
· Strong understanding of customer behavior, lead generation, and conversion
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to think strategically while staying grounded in practical application
· Comfortable working independently and advising leadership
Preferred
· Experience in construction, real estate, home services, or related industries
· Experience working with growing or multi-entity businesses
· Familiarity with digital marketing channels (Meta, Google, websites, funnels)
· Experience collaborating with sales teams to align messaging and conversion
Compensation
· $35 – $50 per hour, depending on experience
· Flexible part-time schedule (15–25 hours/week)
