Who We Are: We’re a busy and growing construction company seeking a reliable, experienced, and organized individual to help keep our operations running smoothly behind the scenes. This role is ideal for a retired or semi-retired individual with a CDL license and hands-on experience in equipment operation, basic maintenance, and job site logistics.
What You’ll Do:
Transport Equipment: Safely haul skid steers, excavators, and dump trucks to and from job sites as needed. (CDL required)
Warehouse Coordination: Oversee the warehouse; receive and organize incoming equipment/materials; ensure outgoing equipment is logged and tracked properly.
System Implementation: Develop and manage a simple inventory and checkout system to track tools, equipment, and materials—including who checked it out and where it's located.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance on heavy equipment (e.g., oil changes, greasing, visual inspections).
Organizational Improvements: Proactively suggest and implement systems to improve storage, access, and equipment management.
What You’ll Need:
Valid CDL (required to drive dump trucks)
Experience operating and maintaining heavy construction equipment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Self-starter mentality—you’ll take ownership of the yard and warehouse
Ability to lift and move materials as needed
Comfort working independently with occasional interaction with crews
Bonus if You Have:
Previous warehouse or yard manager experience
Familiarity with basic inventory management software or willingness to learn
Mechanical inclination or background
