Timberwood Lodge is currently seeking individuals with the proper certifications to work as a caregiver in a CBRF setting. We are looking for an individual who is able to work part-time NOC/ and possible PM. Employee would be expected to have transportation and the ability to work alone. Employee may be eligible for a higher hourly wage listed if they demonstrate flexibility and willingness to cover shifts. Come grow with us!
JOB OVERVIEW:
The CNA / Medication Aide / Caregiver is responsible for providing personalized care and service to Assisted Living residents, perform light housekeeping / laundry, and chart all activities performed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Resident Care
Provide quality care and assistance to residents in accordance with the residence philosophy and policies, and resident rights.
Adhere to each resident’s individual service plan and notify the Nursing Services Coordinator / Administrator of any change in the resident’s condition.
Answer and respond immediately to any resident call light.
Assist residents with their activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living.
Give and take shift report in timely manner.
Assist with cleaning the dining room following a meal and as needed.
Establish and maintain a good relationship with residents and their families.
Offer choice, maintain dignity, and promote individuality for all residents.
Protect and maintain resident rights.
Understand DHS regulations as it pertains to the residents.
Carry out all duties assigned to you by your supervisor.
Administer medications effectively and efficiently to residents based on their doctor’s orders.
Assist with dietary needs as necessary.
Documentation/communication
Chart regularly on completed duties on the electronic MAR/TAR system. Currently using ECP
Attend all regular staff meetings and required training sessions.
Effectively communicate information pertaining to the residents on a “need to know” basis to other team members according to the residence policies and procedures.
Notify supervisor if you observe a change in a resident’s condition.
Notify supervisor of any concerns or questions presented by the resident or the resident’s family members.
Contact emergency personnel and management per the residence policy and procedures.
