Job Summary

Signature Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics is looking to add a Part-Time Certified Medical Assistant to help assist our physicians and medical staff by performing clinical and administrative duties.

General Accountabilities

*Schedule patient appointments

*Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations

*Cleans treatment rooms following patient examinations

• Reviews patient medical history and advise physician of any concerns

*Record patient medical history and vital statistics

*Performs routine screening tests, i.e height and weight and BP

*Removes sutures and dressing changes

*Restock rooms as needed

*Cleans and sterilizes medical equipment and instruments

*Properly disposes of contaminated supplies

*Assists physicians during minor procedures

*Maintains front waiting area; clean and presentable

*Ensures patient privacy following HIPAA compliance

*Company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time

Job Qualifications

*Medical Assistant Certification

*Education: High School diploma or equivalent

*Experience: Preferred 1-2 years of related experience; or equivalent

*License/Certification: CPR certification as CMA preferred

*Familiar with EMR programs

*Spelling / punctuation
