Part-Time Chaplain – Dayspring Villa Community

Pay range is $28.37 - $33.17 / per hour

Schedule: 8 hours per week, flexible based on resident needs.

Are you passionate about providing spiritual care and compassionate support to older adults? We are seeking a warm, inclusive, and dedicated Part-Time Chaplain to serve the residents, families, and team members at Dayspring Villa , our assisted living community in Denver.

This role is about walking alongside individuals, offering hope, comfort, and connection — honoring the diverse faith backgrounds and beliefs that enrich our community.

About the Role:

As our Chaplain, you will provide ethical and spiritual leadership, offering care and support that respects and embraces the unique spiritual journeys of our residents. With a flexible schedule of 8 hours per week, you’ll have the opportunity to focus your time in ways that best meet the needs of those you serve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer compassionate, inclusive pastoral care to residents, families, and staff

• Assess the spiritual needs of residents and their loved ones

• Based on resident requests, this role may lead Sunday worship, mid-week chapel gatherings, and Bible studies, welcoming people of all faiths and backgrounds

• Collaborate with our Life Enrichment team to support residents holistically

• May plan and lead memorial and funeral services that honor each individual’s beliefs and wishes

• Provide counseling, support, and a steady presence during times of crisis or transition

• Write devotionals and reflections to nurture spiritual growth within the community

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications & Experience

• Masters of Divinity or equivalent preferred, Bachelors Degree in ministry, theology, social work or related field required.
• At least 2 years experience in pastoral care or ministry working with senior adults.
• Ability to minister to individuals with differing beliefs.
• Ability to effectively teach.
• Clinical Pastoral Education, Four (4) units preferred.
• Knowledge with Microsoft suite
• Must possess excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
• Sits, stands, bends and moves intermittently during working hours.
• Is subject to frequent interruptions.
• Interacts with residents, family members, visitors frequently.
