    The Opportunity

    We're seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide part-time psychiatric services to youth (ages 7–18) in a residential treatment setting.

    This role involves psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing consultation with care teams to ensure each youth receives holistic and culturally competent support.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments

    • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans

    • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications

    • Provide crisis intervention and psychiatric consultation for acute needs

    • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning meetings

    • Maintain timely and compliant clinical documentation

    • Support trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate care approaches

    Qualifications

    ✔ MD or DO with completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency
    ✔ Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (ABPN)
    ✔ Valid and unrestricted NY State medical license (or ability to obtain)
    ✔ Active DEA registration
    ✔ Comfortable treating youth ages 7–18 and working with families
    ✔ Familiarity with trauma-informed care models (e.g., TF-CBT, DBT) preferred
    ✔ Valid Driver's License required

    • Treating youth involved in foster care, residential treatment, or juvenile justice systems

    • Practicing trauma-informed, culturally responsive psychiatric care

    • Working within interdisciplinary clinical teams
