PART TIME FLOOR COATING INSTALLER

Garage Force of Nashville South is looking for a part-time Concrete Coating Installer to join our staff.

As a Floor Coating Installer, you will be responsible for the installation of coatings to floors and surfaces. Most of our work focuses on garage floors; however, we apply coatings to surfaces such as, patios, porches and basements.

We’re looking for candidates with a background in concrete, painting, or construction. We offer competitive pay.

Coating Installer Job Duties:

• Preparing surfaces by scouring floors, repairing damage, or removing old paint

• Operate general construction equipment such as large grinders, hand grinders, shop vacs, floor polishers, generators, etc.

• Mixing, matching, and applying coating systems and finishes to floor surfaces

• Providing decorative and faux finishes as the project requires

• Handling planning and prep work in an efficient manner

• Calculating the amounts of materials and time required for each project

• Taping off areas as needed

• Cleaning up supplies and equipment throughout the application process to maintain a safe and organized work environment

• Communicating with clients to ensure satisfaction

Position Requirements:

• Must be reliable and on-time

• Painting, concrete, or construction background is a plus

• Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal/motor vehicle background check

• Must possess a valid driver’s license

• Ability to travel to installation sites – jobsites will be anywhere from Franklin down to Pulaski, over to Murfreesboro & Lebanon, etc. (No Overnight Travel)

• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in changing environmental conditions such as, hot, cold humid, etc.

• Ability to perform physical labor for 8-12 hours a day and able to lift at least 50# or more

• The ideal candidate will have experience in operating general construction equipment (Shop Vac, Generator, Handheld Angle Grinder, Large Floor Grinder, Painting Tools)

The position of Garage Coating Installer is a fast-paced position. Pay starting around $18-$20 per hour depending on experience. The ideal candidate will advance quickly and become a Crew Leader with greater pay and great responsibilities.
