    Food Service Crew Member - Cook- Part Time We are looking for a reliable part-time cook to join our Assisted Living team. This team member will be responsible for preparing and cooking quality meals and providing a satisfying dining experience Responsibilities: • Prepare and cook nutritious, well-balanced meals according to menus, dietary guidelines, and resident preferences • Ensure meals are served on schedule and at proper temperatures • Follow special diet requirements (low sodium, texture-modified, etc.) • Maintain a clean, safe, organized kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations • Assist with meal plating and presentation to promote a pleasant dining experience • Monitor and rotate food inventory • Safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment • Adhere to proper food handling, storage, and sanitation standards • Collaborate with dietary staff and caregivers to support resident needs • Demonstrate patience, respect, and a positive attitude when interacting with other staff and residents Qualifications: • Previous cooking or food service experience in a healthcare setting preferred • Knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices • Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary restrictions and special diet requirements • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet meal schedules • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25-30 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment • Good communication skills, ability to work cooperatively with staff and residents • Dependable, punctual, and flexible to work scheduled shifts, including every other weekend/holidays as needed • Compassionate and respectful attitude toward older adults Compensation: $17.50 hourly
