Direct Care Staff members play a vital role in the daily care of seniors in a home-like setting. By providing reliable coverage across different cases, you help ensure clients receive continuous, high-quality care — and help reduce the strain on personnel coordinators and managers who are often pulled to cover last-minute needs. Responsibilities: Assist residents with personal care, emotional support, and activities of daily living (i.e., bathing, dressing, grooming)Assist with meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeepingAssist with medication remindersParticipate in providing activities for the residents (i.e., gardening, painting, puzzles, etc.)Contribute to creating a team environment with other staff members and resident family members Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED is required - some college preferred • Conclusion of home health aide training programs from community colleges are acceptable - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) is a bonus • Physical requirements include being able to lift up to 100 lbs, may be required to stoop, bend, reach, and transfer patients up to 250 lbs as needed • Must have 1-3 years of experience as a personal caregiver, HHA/ home health aide, nursing assistant, or personal care aid for a home health agency at patient homes or care facilities setting • Pass a full employment background check, drug test, and physical, and possess current CPR certification and first aid training High school diploma or equivalentMust be 18 years old2+ years professional caregiving experience (home care, facility, or similar)Basic cooking knowledgeExperience with ADL care, transfers and mobility, ROM exercises, and memory careHospice experience is a plus, but not requiredRegistered Home Care Aide (HCA) or willing to be registeredAble to pass criminal background check and reference checkCurrent CPR certificationCurrent TB test and a physical exam Compensation: $18 - $22 per hour
