Executive Housekeeper – La Jolla, CA
A private family in La Jolla, California is seeking a highly experienced and professionally trained Executive Housekeeper to independently manage and maintain their 3,100 sq. ft. residence (5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms).
This role is ideal for a career housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining a beautifully run home and enjoys creating systems that support a busy family household. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing the home independently while maintaining exceptional standards.
The home includes three young children and a full-time nanny, so the housekeeper should be comfortable working in a child-friendly household environment.
Home Maintenance & Cleaning
Develop and execute a structured weekly housekeeping schedule to ensure the home is consistently maintained
Perform daily housekeeping tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, and maintaining overall cleanliness
Maintain exceptional standards of organization and presentation throughout the home
Plan and manage rotational deep-cleaning projects
Household Organization
Create and maintain systems for home organization, including children's toys, play areas, closets, and storage
Ensure household supplies are stocked and organized
Support the family by implementing systems that simplify daily household operations
Laundry & Linens
Manage all household laundry including washing, folding, ironing, and linen care
Maintain bedding, towels, and seasonal items
Household Support
Provide light cooking or simple meal preparation as needed
Assist with light household management duties such as organizing deliveries or maintaining household inventory
Work collaboratively with the family and nanny to ensure the household runs smoothly
Monday, Wednesday, Friday
7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Additional hours may become available in the future for the right candidate. Flexibility may be discussed depending on the candidate’s availability.
Minimum 5+ years of professional housekeeping experience in private homes
Experience independently managing and maintaining full residences
Strong organizational and systems-building skills
Ability to work proactively and manage time efficiently
Experience in high-standard private homes or estates preferred
Comfortable working in a household with young children
Discreet, trustworthy, and detail-oriented with a strong respect for household privacy
Professional, reliable, and self-motivated
Must be open to signing a confidentiality agreement (NDA)

Full-time nanny employed
Location: La Jolla, California
$35 – $42 per hour
Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
