Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the Cotswold neighborhood of Charlotte in finding a Part-Time Family Assistant for their 2 boys, a 4-year-old, and a 2-year-old. The nanny would typically be needed Monday through Friday, 7:30 am - 12:30 pm (20 hours).

The best Family Assistant for this family would be dependable, punctual, playful, fun, engaging, and experienced in caring for multiple young children. The Family Assistant would be expected to come in, take the children to school, and then assist the family with household tasks (listed below) while their children are in school.

On school holidays or days when the children are not in school, the Family Assistant would be asked to provide attentive childcare to the children. The Family Assistant should keep the children on their schedules, meet their daily needs, actively participate in developmental activities, and interact with the children on their level. Their children are very active and enjoy playing with toys, being read to, doing arts and crafts, playing outside, going on walks, and riding bikes. The Family Assistant should be able to foster a fun and enriching environment for the children, while prioritizing safety.

The Family Assistant should also be able to anticipate the family's needs and respect/support the parents' wishes regarding how the children should be cared for. It is essential to the family that the Family Assistant can communicate effectively, discuss any issues related to the home or children’s care, and is open to making adjustments as the family’s needs change.

Childcare Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the children

• Transporting children to school, camps, and activities

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• Going on walks and doing developmental activities

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the children

Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

• Family laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly

• Rotating clothing and toys as needed

• Children’s meal prep and cleaning up after meals, including breakfast and lunch.

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher

• Tidying up

• Organizing tasks

• Grocery shopping

• Running Errands

Pets: The family has a cat; there will be no pet responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional Family Assistant experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Family Assistant should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

• The Flu vaccine is preferred but not required

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts ASAP

• Legal pay is offered at $28.00 - $30.00, negotiable depending on experience

• Continued pay while the family is away
