Location: The Learning Experience - Ledgewood, NJ Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Schedule: Part-Time, Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-6:00 PM (15 hours per week)

About the Opportunity

Looking for a part-time childcare position with consistent afternoon hours?

The Learning Experience - Ledgewood is hiring a Part-Time Assistant Teacher to support our classrooms during the afternoon!

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, helping teachers, and creating a positive environment during the busiest part of the school day.

As a Floater Teacher, you'll work with different age groups and provide support wherever it's needed.

What You'll Do

Assist teachers across classrooms during afternoon hours

Supervise children and maintain a safe, nurturing environment

Support afternoon activities, playtime, snacks, and classroom routines

Help children with transitions and prepare for dismissal

Engage children through stories, games, music, and hands-on activities

Assist with diapering, toilet training, and other age-appropriate care routines

Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers

Help maintain classroom cleanliness and organization

Follow New Jersey childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

Previous childcare, daycare, babysitting, or preschool experience preferred

Comfortable working with different age groups

Patient, dependable, energetic, and comfortable working as part of a team

Must be available Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-6:00 PM

Must meet applicable New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
