Part-Time Floater Teacher – Daycare & Preschool Location: The Learning Experience – South Lyon, MI Pay: $16–$18 per hour Bubbles Reliability Reward Bonus: Earn an additional $100 per month for six months after successfully completing your first 90 days with consistent attendance Schedule: Part-Time, Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–6:30 PM

The Learning Experience – South Lyon is seeking a dependable and energetic Part-Time Floater Teacher to support our classrooms during the afternoon and closing hours.

This position is a great fit for a high school student, college student, or anyone looking for a consistent part-time afternoon schedule. You’ll work with different classrooms throughout the center, helping our teaching teams while creating a positive end to the day for children and families.

Key Responsibilities

Provide classroom support across Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs

Assist teachers with afternoon activities, transitions, and pick-up routines

Engage children through play, art, music, movement, and outdoor activities

Help with snacks, classroom cleanup, and end-of-day routines

Provide teacher break and classroom coverage as needed

Help maintain required classroom ratios

Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance

Maintain clean, safe, and organized classroom environments

Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED preferred or currently attending high school

Previous experience working with children is a plus, but not required

Comfortable supporting different classrooms and age groups

Reliable and consistently available during afternoon hours

Positive, energetic, flexible, and team-oriented

Ability to meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
