We’re hiring a part-time Groundskeeper to help keep our horse ranch and office property in Rio Linda looking its best. This consistent, flexible position includes basic landscape maintenance, light fence repair, and keeping the barn and flowerbeds neat and presentable. Applicants must bring their own tools and be comfortable working independently around horses.
About the Role: We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Groundskeeper to help keep our horse ranch and office property looking clean, safe, and inviting. This is a very part-time but consistent position—ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining beautiful, functional outdoor spaces and understands the importance of presentation and care around horses.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain flowerbeds and keep weeds clear at the ranch entrance.
Sweep and clean barn areas to keep them sparkling and organized.
Perform light landscaping and basic fence repairs as needed.
Maintain overall curb appeal of both the ranch and office properties during regular operations and ongoing construction.
Visit the office yard once every two weeks to clean and maintain the grounds.
Equipment Requirements:
Applicants must have their own tools and equipment, including a weed eater, lawn mower, and basic hand tools.
No shared or borrowed equipment will be provided.
Weed eating around trees is not permitted; specific no-trim zones will be reviewed during orientation.
Qualifications:
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Experience with light landscaping, groundskeeping, or ranch maintenance preferred.
Comfortable working around horses and outdoor environments.
Must have reliable transportation and maintain a consistent schedule.
Schedule:
Part-time, flexible hours; consistent weekly work.
