Responsibilities: • Put all laundry in a washing machine and follow the manufacturer's directions for adding the cleaning chemicals • Check that all cleaning supplies are stocked and notify the general manager if any are running low • Inspect all linens to identify stains and remove stains with appropriate cleaning products and techniques • Take out the clothes and linens after washing and dry them following the manufacturer's recommendations • Inspect laundry equipment visually and report any maintenance issues to the building management • Coordinate with house persons to ensure all dirty linens are collected for laundry and clean linens are available when needed • Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled shifts. Be positive and enthusiastic about work • Work diligently on assigned tasks and take initiative. Work well with other associates Qualifications: • This position requires the ability to lift 20 or more pounds regularly • 1 or more year as a laundry attendant, housekeeper or a similar role is strongly desired • Good understanding of commercial cleaning techniques and products • Must have graduated high school or received an equivalent certification • Impeccable work ethic and excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills Compensation: $14.50 - $16 hourly
