    Compensation: $30–$35/hour + 401(k) and 50% employer-paid health insurance
    Schedule: 20–30 hours per week, schedule provided soon

    A busy family in Pittsburgh with four children, is seeking an experienced Professional Housekeeper with strong cooking skills for a part-time position. The Housekeeper will work alongside the family’s current housekeeper to maintain the home and will be responsible for housekeeping duties and preparing meals from scratch. The family entertains guests often, so the right candidate will be organized, detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal direction. This position offers a 401(k) and 50% employer-paid health insurance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Clean and maintain all areas of the home to a high standard, including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living spaces
    • Plan and prepare family meals from scratch, using fresh, whole ingredients
    • Keep the kitchen clean and organized, including after meal prep and entertaining
    • Prepare the home before and after guest visits, including guest rooms and common areas
    • Help with grocery shopping and keep the pantry and household supplies stocked
    • Coordinate with the current housekeeper to divide tasks and keep the home consistently cared for
    • Organize closets, pantries and storage areas as needed
    • Report maintenance needs or supply shortages to the family

    Requirements:

    • Several years of professional housekeeping experience in a private home
    • Strong cooking skills, with experience preparing meals from scratch
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal direction
    • Highly reliable, punctual and consistent
    • Professional, discreet and respectful of family privacy
    • Comfortable working in a busy household with children and frequent guests
    • Able to work collaboratively with existing household staff
    • Reliable transportation
    • Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
