Part-Time IT Specialist - 20 to 25 hrs per week onsite
Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Part-Time IT Specialist, to support internal IT operations and serve as an on-site liaison with our third-party Managed Service Provider (MSP). This role is ideal for a semi-retired professional or seasoned technician who enjoys hands-on technical work and can collaborate with both internal staff and external IT partners. The role focuses on network support, basic system administration, and coordination with our MSP to maintain a stable and secure technology environment. This position reports to the Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level support for local users, including troubleshooting network, hardware, and software issues
- Monitor and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points)
- Coordinate closely with the MSP for escalations, system updates, and infrastructure projects
- Support user onboarding/offboarding by preparing devices and managing access credentials
- Maintain IT asset inventory, hardware lifecycle, and basic documentation
- Assist with routine tasks such as printer setup, patch updates, backups, and office connectivity
- Serve as an on-site technical point of contact for IT-related vendors and service providers
