LeafSpring School is seeking an energetic, responsible, and safety-focused Part-Time Lifeguard to join our Summer Camp team! Our summer program provides children with a fun, engaging, and active environment, and our lifeguards play a critical role in ensuring campers enjoy water activities safely.

Position Summary

The Part-Time Lifeguard is responsible for supervising campers during swim activities, enforcing pool safety rules, responding to emergencies, and helping create a fun and safe camp experience for all children.

Responsibilities

Monitor swimmers and maintain a safe swimming environment at all times

Enforce all pool and water safety rules

Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies and administer first aid/CPR when needed

Conduct routine safety checks of pool areas and equipment

Assist camp staff with camper supervision during pool transitions

Build positive relationships with campers, families, and team members

Maintain a professional, alert, and positive attitude throughout each shift

Qualifications

Must be at least 16 years old

Current Lifeguard Certification required

Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required

Previous experience working with children preferred

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to remain alert and respond calmly in emergency situations

Part-Time Seasonal Position

Summer Camp Hours: Monday–Friday

Flexible shifts available based on pool schedule and camp needs
