Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Medical Receptionist to join our small private practice. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for greeting patients, checking demographics and insurance eligibility, and pulling patient files and information. Other relevant responsibilities include answering up to 3 phone lines, scheduling appointments, regular use of office equipment, and maintaining patient medical records.
The ideal candidate is very organized, has strong customer service and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well independently and within a team. Medical Assistant background is preferred but not necessary. Some experience required; must be willing to learn.
Responsibilities
Greet patients who walk through the door.
Ascertain their needs and get them checked in.
Pull their medical records, or obtain patient history.
Answer the phone, schedule appointments, answer patient questions.
Maintain comprehensive medical records, as needed.
Qualifications
Strong customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills
Attention to detail
Knowledge of basic computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office suite
Medical Assistant Certification preferred but, not needed.
Some familiarity with medications and medical terminology
Pay $18/HR - $22/HR, depending on experience. 6-8 hour shifts, 3-4 days a week. Weekends Off. Hours and pay subject to increase, TBD. This position is best suited for those trying to build their experience in Healthcare or looking for a part-time position.
