    Job Title: Part-Time Medication Aide (Med Tech)

    Facility: The Gardenias Location: 75 Dutchtown Rd Hampton, GA 30228 Schedule: Part-Time | Every other weekend + 2 weekdays (Specific days TBD)

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Medication Aide to join our dedicated care team at our small, resident-focused assisted living facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe administration of medications to our residents while providing high-quality personal care and support. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a close-knit environment and building meaningful relationships with seniors.

    Key Responsibilities

    Medication Administration: Prepare, administer, and document oral, topical, and inhalant medications as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with state regulations.

    Resident Monitoring: Observe residents for any adverse reactions to medications or changes in physical/mental status and report findings to the supervising nurse or management.

    Care Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date Medication Administration Records (MARs) and daily shift notes.

    Personal Care Support: Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, and mobility, as needed during the shift.

    Safety & Compliance: Follow all infection control protocols and facility safety standards to ensure a secure environment for residents and staff.

    Care Driven: Must be able to provide all prescribed medications, including end-of-life and palliative treatments, without reservation or interference from personal, religious, or philosophical beliefs.

    Follows Direction: Commitment to upholding the facility’s clinical protocols and residents' advanced directives regarding end-of-life care and pain management.

    Qualifications

    Certification: Current State Medication Aide/Technician Certification (CMA/CMT) or equivalent as required by law.

    Experience: Previous experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care is preferred.

    Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a high level of empathy for the elderly.

    Reliability: Must be able to commit to an "every other weekend" rotation and the scheduled weekday shifts.
