Part Time Nanny/family Assistant in Newton, MA 

Seeking a compassionate and experienced part-time Nanny for a growing family with two young children, aged 2.5 and 3.5 years old, and a 4 month old baby. The role involves a mix of childcare and light household support, with flexibility to focus on either the older children or the baby, depending on the family’s needs. Ideal candidate is a team player and can work as a team alongside mom. Must be pet friendly, there is a large dog at the home.

Responsibilities:

• Care for the children in the afternoons, including pick-up from their part-time daycare (ends at 12) and engaging in fun, age-appropriate activities.
• Provide attentive care to the newborn when needed, allowing the parent to spend focused time with the older children.
• Prepare simple, kid-friendly meals and snacks as needed.
• Assist with light tidying and household tasks during nap times, including folding laundry, organizing toys, and keeping play areas clean.
• Foster a warm, calm, and nurturing environment for all three children.

Schedule and Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $30-$33/hour
• Start date: ASAP
• Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 12:00 PM – 5:00PM or 1:00-6:00pm
• Benefits: 1 week paid vacation, 2 sick/personal days, major holidays.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience caring for toddlers and newborns.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (own car preferred).
• Ability to create a safe, engaging, and loving environment for children.
• Comfortable around the family's dog
• Proactive and organized, with a willingness to assist with light household tasks.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Provide 3-5 professional references.
• Looking for a long-term position.
• Vaccinated.
• Must have authorization to work in the US.
• Must be 18 years or older.
