    A kind and energetic family in Toano, VA is seeking a reliable and engaging Part-Time Nanny and House Manager to support their two school-aged children ages 6 & 9 years old.. The ideal candidate is active, patient, dog-friendly, and able to create a warm, structured, and clean environment for the family. Help the family manage household tasks during the school year, and summer months. This is a long-term, live-out position with guaranteed hours and excellent family support.

    Position Details:

    • Start Date: ASAP

    • Schedule (School Year): Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM

    • Guaranteed Hours: 25 hours/week

    • Pay: $25/hour

    • Payroll: Yes,

    Responsibilities:

    Childcare

    • School pick-up (school is 5 minutes away)

    • Engage children in active, creative, and age-appropriate play

    • Maintain a calm, respectful after-school environment

    • Light supervision and support until parents return

    Household Management

    • Light housekeeping: laundry, dishes, tidying up, and wiping counters

    • Simple meal prep/dinner assistance

    • Grocery shopping (family often uses grocery delivery)

    • Maintain a clean and organized home (no deep cleaning required)

    Requirements:

    • Valid driver’s license

    • Clean driving record

    • Comfortable driving (family provides a third car)

    • Must love dogs

    • CPR/First Aid certification required

    • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

    • Experience with school-aged children preferred

    • Reliable, patient, and energetic caregiving style

    • Comfortable working around parents who may be home occasionally

    Family Preferences:

    • Someone active and athletic to match the children’s energy

    • Patient, nurturing, and fun

    • Preferred age: Under 40

    • Must be dependable and seeking a long-term commitment

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • Hourly Rate: $25/hour

    • Guaranteed Hours: 25/week

    • Vacation: 1 paid week

    • Sick Days: 1 paid day

    • Holidays: 4 paid major holidays

    • Summer Travel: Family travels one week in summer (paid time off)
