Part-Time Nanny/Housekeeper – San Jose, CA

A professional and family in San Jose, CA are seeking a warm, engaging, and reliable part-time nanny/housekeeper to support their household and care for three children, ages 3, 1, and a newborn. The role involves working alongside mom to help keep the home and daily routines running smoothly.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly rate: $30–$40/hour, based on experience

• Standard full-time benefits offered if schedule expands to 40 hours per week, including:

  • 2 weeks paid vacation (one week of the family’s choosing, one week of the nanny’s)

  • 3–5 personal/sick days

  • All major holidays paid & off

  • Healthcare stipend

Schedule

• Monday–Thursday (with the possibility of adding Fridays to create a 40-hour schedule)

• Times are flexible, to be finalized with the family

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive and loving care for three children (ages 3, 1, and newborn)

• Support daily routines, activities, and outings for the children

• Assist mom in managing the household and family schedule

• Perform light housekeeping and household organization related to children and shared family spaces

• Help with meal prep, laundry, and general tidying as needed

• Care for and be comfortable around the family dog

Qualifications:

• Must have prior professional childcare or nanny experience (infant and toddler experience strongly preferred)

• Must be engaging, dependable, and proactive in supporting the family

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute to the home and transport children as needed (no family car provided)

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

• Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age to apply

• CPR and First Aid certification preferred

• COVID vaccination status to be discussed with family
