A warm family in Greenwich, CT is seeking a part-time, long-term nanny to care for their 8-month-old child. They are looking for a loving, engaging caregiver who genuinely enjoys caring for children and is excited to support their child’s growth, learning, and development through hands-on play, exploration, and age-appropriate activities.
The family is looking for someone who is warm, attentive, patient, and proactive, and who will become a trusted, consistent presence in their child’s life. The ideal candidate will enjoy creating an engaging daily routine filled with music, movement, reading, sensory activities, outdoor time, and opportunities for learning and discovery. The family follows a no-screen approach and values a nanny who is responsive to their child’s individual needs and developmental stage.
Requirements
At least 21 years old
Minimum of 3 years of relevant childcare experience preferred
Current CPR / First Aid certification required
Non-smoker
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
Must have a safe and reliable vehicle
TDAP vaccination required
Spanish-speaking ability is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
Provide loving, attentive, and age-appropriate care throughout the day
Ensure the child’s safety and follow daily routines, including feeding, naps, and developmental activities
Prepare and serve bottles, meals, and snacks (reheating and serving prepared items)
Support elimination communication and assist with potty training as needed
Engage the child through play, reading, music, movement, sensory activities, and outdoor time
Communicate with parents regarding meals, naps, activities, milestones, and any concerns
Provide transportation to activities in the future as needed (not required initially)
Maintain a clean and organized environment related to the child’s activities, including tidying toys, wiping down eating areas, and washing child-related dishes
Handle minor child-related cleanup, including treating stained clothing after feedings and placing items in the laundry hamper
About the Family
This family is seeking a nanny who will be an active, nurturing presence in their child’s day and who enjoys creating meaningful learning opportunities through play, movement, and exploration. One parent may work from home at times, but there is a separate space available for the nanny and child, allowing for independence and autonomy throughout the day. The family values open communication and is looking for someone who will work collaboratively with them.

The family is looking for someone who enjoys supporting an active infant who is crawling, pulling to stand, babbling, exploring new foods, and beginning to develop new skills. The ideal candidate will be excited to foster growth through nurturing, responsive care and enjoy incorporating music, movement, reading, sensory play, and outdoor activities into the child’s routine. A background in early childhood development is a strong plus.
