Part-Time Afternoon Nanny – Weehawken, NJ

A professional family in Weehawken, NJ is seeking a reliable and nurturing part-time, live-out nanny to care for their 6-year-old son in the afternoons. The family is looking for a long-term caregiver who can provide consistent support, safe transportation, and engaging after-school care.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $25–$30/hour, depending on experience

• Consistent part-time schedule with 18.5 guaranteed hours per week

• Additional hours available for holidays and occasional weekends

Schedule & Hours:

• Monday & Friday: 3:00 PM school pickup → home by 3:45 → stay until 6:00 PM

• Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 4:30 PM school pickup → home by 5:05 → stay until 7:00 PM

• Additional hours available for school holidays and occasional weekend help

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick up child from school (35 minutes from home)

• Safely transport home or to after-school activities (two times per week)

• Unpack school bag and help the child settle in after school

• Supervise, engage, and entertain through age-appropriate activities

• Provide and oversee snack time (no cooking required; parents handle meals)

• Be flexible and patient as the family transitions into a new school and schedule

Family Details:

• 6-year-old son (no special needs)

• Vegetarian household

• No pets in the home

• Both parents work from home in desk-based roles

Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle (family car may be available if easier)

• English-speaking (bilingual a plus, not required)

• Previous nanny/childcare experience with school-age children preferred

• Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious
