Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Black Mountain in finding a Part-Time Nanny for their 2 sons, a 1-month-old and a 2-year-old. The nanny would typically be needed 3 weekdays, 9/10:00 am-5/6:00 pm.(24hours)

The best nanny for this family would be kind, friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable in early childhood development. The nanny will be caring for their two children, an energetic 2-year-old and their 1-month-old infant. The ideal candidate is someone who brings a kid-first, open-minded, and education-focused approach to childcare, and who is flexible and understanding of the natural chaos that comes with working in a busy household. The toddler is very verbal and loves arts and crafts, trucks and trains, blocks and puzzles, reading books, pretend play, outdoor adventures, and gardening. Currently, the family is working on a daily routine and schedule for the infant, which the nanny will be asked to maintain. A nanny who can create a calm, engaging, and learning-rich environment, incorporating reading, backyard play, and structured activities for the toddler, would be the ideal fit. Their 2-year-old has a fish allergy, the nanny should be cautious of. This is a long-term position, ideally lasting up to 3½ years. Both parents work from home, the nanny should be comfortable with this and respect proper work-from-home boundaries.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the children (Feeding, Changing, Napping)

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the children

Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

• Children’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly

• Children’s meal prep, preparing bottles, lunch, and snacks

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the children

• Picking up after the nanny and the children throughout the day and teaching the 2-year-old to pick up after himself

• Emptying the diaper pail and trash

Pets: The family has 2 indoor cats, the nanny will have no pet responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• Must be up to date on vaccinations, including the COVID-19 vaccine, the annual Flu Vaccine, and TDAP prior to starting the position.
