Part-Time Nanny in Huntersville for a 4-Year-Old Boy
Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Huntersville in finding a Part-Time Nanny for their 4-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter. The nanny would typically be needed Monday-Friday, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. (20hours) flexibility to work additional hours when the children are off from school.
Primary care will be for their 4-year-old son. Their 1-year-old daughter will be in school daily until 5 pm. The only time the nanny will be asked to care for the daughter is during school breaks and holidays, or if she is home with a minor illness.
The best nanny for this family would be patient, calm, and genuinely enjoy engaging with children through creative and physical play. Their son is high-energy and thrives with someone who is playful and interactive. Their son arrives home each day at 1 pm, on occasion, the nanny will be asked to do school pickup. Each afternoon will start by making sure he finishes any remaining lunch from school or giving him a quick after-school snack. After snack, he will have an hour of quiet time, followed by engaging activities such as interactive play, outdoor time, and outings to local playgrounds, the library, museums, etc. He loves riding bikes, playing frisbee and catch, disc golf, board games, crafts, and spending time outdoors. Supporting his kindergarten readiness through fun, age-appropriate learning activities is also important. The ideal candidate will be organized and mindful about cleaning up after creative projects. This family is looking for a nanny who is kind but firm, setting clear, consistent boundaries while remaining nurturing and supportive. Open and collaborative communication is highly valued. Both parents work from home, the nanny should be comfortable with this and respect proper work-from-home boundaries.
Nanny Responsibilities Include:
Meeting the daily scheduling needs of the child
Engaging with the child on an age-appropriate level
Playing with the child both inside and outside the home
Doing hands-on learning activities with the child
Household Duties Include (Child is first priority):
Folding and putting away children’s laundry, and changing children’s sheets weekly
Child’s meal prep, making an after-school snack
Unloading/loading the dishwasher
Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the children
Picking up after the nanny and the child throughout the day
Pets: The family has an elderly Goldendoodle and a cat. There will be no pet responsibilities for the nanny.
Qualifications:
Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience
Have a college degree or equivalent experience
Have a professional resume

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:
This position starts August 25th
Legal pay is offered at $27-$30 an hour, depending on experience
