Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Myers Park in finding a Part-Time Nanny for their two sons, who are 10 and 8 years old. The nanny would typically be needed Monday - Friday, 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm. (17.5 hours) The family would like a Nanny who is flexible to work occasional weekends, overnights, and additional hours in the summer.

The best nanny for this family would be confident, firm, and warm, with positive energy, and could provide consistent structure in the afternoons. This role supports two school-aged boys and focuses on after-school care and transportation. Each day will include school pick-ups, coordinating and providing transportation to after-school activities (such as basketball), and overseeing afternoon routines. The family values an active nanny who enjoys getting the children outside, playing basketball in the driveway, engaging in outdoor games, and encouraging physical activity. Indoor play includes Legos, toys in the playroom, and hands-on engineering and science kits.

Homework support is an important part of the role, including ensuring assignments and daily reading are completed, with additional reading support for the younger child. Screen time is limited during the afternoons, with a short, structured allowance later in the evening.

The ideal nanny will have experience caring for children with ADHD, particularly with emotional regulation and behavior support during high-energy after-school hours. A calm, consistent, and firm approach is essential. Experience with ABA strategies or RBT training is a strong plus.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting the daily scheduling needs of the children

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Picking the children up from school and taking them to after-school activities

• Assisting with homework

Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

• Children’s laundry

• Children’s meal prep, including after-school snack and dinners a few nights a week

• Unloading/loading dishwasher

• Wiping down kitchen counters and keeping the kitchen tidy

Pets: The family has two very sweet King Charles Cavaliers and one cat. The nanny will have no pet care responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus
