Experienced Security Officer – Unarmed Pottstown Pay: $18.50 per hour Additional compensation available for qualified military veterans

Part Time Saturday-Sunday 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Job Description

KRE Security, LLC is seeking experienced and dependable Unarmed Security Officers for a permanent overnight assignment in Reading, PA. This role is well-suited for officers with prior security, military, or law enforcement experience who prefer a consistent night shift and a professional work environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain a visible and professional security presence during overnight hours

Conduct routine and mobile patrols to deter unauthorized activity

Monitor access points, alarms, and site conditions

Respond to incidents, safety concerns, and emergency situations

Accurately document incidents and daily activity reports using Belfry Software

Enforce post orders, site policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and fellow officers

Qualifications

Minimum age of 18 years

High school diploma or equivalent required

Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience strongly preferred

Experience with patrol operations, access control, and incident reporting preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Professional appearance and demeanor

Reliable attendance and punctuality required

Ability to stand or walk for extended periods

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Must pass a mandatory background check

Required in-person orientation prior to assignment

Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain required clearances, including FBI fingerprinting, PATCH, and child abuse clearances.

Military veterans and active-duty service members receive an additional $0.25 per hour

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly Rate: $18.50 an hour (site-specific)

Overtime paid in accordance with applicable labor laws for hours worked over 40 per week

Full-Time eligibility at 30+ hours per week

Paid Time Off: 24 hours accrued after successful completion of the probationary period
