Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a vital part in patient care by collecting blood, tissue, and fluid samples for diagnostic testing. Your contributions will support early detection and ongoing health management, making a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients.

Responsibilities

Prioritize sample collection requests based on urgency

Collect and verify patient information accurately

Determine and perform the appropriate venipuncture method for each patient

Provide comfort and reassurance during the collection process

Use sterilized equipment to collect blood and other samples

Label and document all samples correctly before sending them for testing

Qualifications

Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Technician

Current Medical Assistant and/or Phlebotomy certification (required)

Solid understanding of patient identification protocols and best practices

Knowledge of legal standards related to sample collection

Proficiency in computer systems and data entry
