Job Description

Carden Christian Academy is seeking a Part-Time Physical Education Teacher to lead structured physical activity and fitness instruction for elementary and middle school students. This role promotes physical development, teamwork, discipline, and healthy habits within a Christ-centered environment.

The ideal candidate encourages sportsmanship, confidence, and character development while creating an engaging and active learning atmosphere.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, or related field (preferred)

Minimum of 12 credit hours in Physical Education

Experience teaching or coaching elementary and/or middle school students

CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)

Availability for 2 weekly instructional sessions

Alignment with the school’s Christian mission and values

Responsibilities

Teach weekly PE classes using structured lesson plans

Develop age-appropriate activities that promote strength, coordination, and teamwork

Foster sportsmanship and character through physical activity

Incorporate basic health and wellness education

Organize field days, school fitness activities, or special events as needed

Maintain a safe and structured physical activity environment

Compensation: $20 – $25 per hour
