Open Position: Part-Time Physical Education Teacher

Thacher Montessori School is seeking an enthusiastic, student-centered Part-Time Physical Education Teacher to provide physical education instruction to Elementary and Middle School students during the academic year.

Schedule: Approximately 15 hours per week Compensation: $40-$50 per hour, commensurate with experience

The ideal candidate will have:

A Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, Education, or a related field (preferred)

Experience teaching and/or coaching school-aged children

Strong communication and classroom management skills

A warm, energetic, and engaging personality

An appreciation for child-centered education

Responsibilities include:

Planning and leading age-appropriate physical education classes

Promoting physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy habits

Creating a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

Maintaining equipment and ensuring the safe use of activity spaces

Collaborating with faculty and administration as needed
