AFC Urgent Care Southcenter is seeking a skilled, part-time independent, and compassionate Medical Provider to provide exceptional medical care in a fast-paced, multi-service urgent care environment. The ideal candidate is a confident and adaptable provider who can work autonomously, deliver high-quality patient care, and collaborate with clinic leadership to maintain operational excellence and patient satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad spectrum of acute illnesses, injuries, and minor primary care conditions.
· Conduct comprehensive physical exams, including DOT physicals, pre-employment, post-accident, and return-to-work evaluations.
· Perform and interpret diagnostic tests including X-rays, EKGs, and point-of-care laboratory testing.
· Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, incision and drainage, abscess management, and splinting.
· Provide occupational medicine services including work-related injury evaluations and treatment plans.
· Participate in patient education and counseling to promote health and wellness.
· Document all encounters accurately and timely in the Experity EMR system to ensure proper billing and continuity of care.
· Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to ensure patient flow and quality of service meet clinic standards.
· Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and Washington State Department of Health regulations.
· Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, staff, and referring providers.
Minimum Qualifications
· Active Washington State License as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
· Active DEA registration.
· Board Certified and in good standing with NCCPA (for PAs) or relevant nursing board (for ARNPs).
· Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or family practice preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with Experity EMR or similar urgent care documentation systems.
· Familiarity with occupational medicine, workers’ compensation, and immigration medical exams.
· Must obtain FMCSA DOT Certified Medical Examiner status within 1 month of employment.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
Schedule & Compensation
· Flexible scheduling (minimum 2–3 shifts per week; 4–5 hours per shift).
· Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience and certifications.
· Part-time employee position (non-benefited).
