Seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join the dedicated team at a Florida-based Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) that specializes in substance use and mental health disorders. This is a part-time position in a clinically rich, multidisciplinary treatment environment.
This PHP is certified by both the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) and the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), and is committed to providing trauma-informed, evidence-based care to those dealing with both primary substance use and primary mental health disorders.
Job Duties
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing assessments of clients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders
Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring their effectiveness and side effects
Participate in treatment team meetings, offering clinical input and psychiatric guidance
Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed
Maintain detailed and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with DCF and AHCA standards
Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and medical staff to ensure integrated client care
Educate clients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and medication adherence
Comply with HIPAA and all relevant regulatory and accreditation standards
Qualifications & Licensing Requirements
Active and unrestricted Florida APRN License with a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification
Current DEA license for prescribing controlled substances
Minimum of 2 years' experience in psychiatric or addiction treatment settings, preferably in a PHP, IOP, or residential program
Proficiency with EMRs, LOCUS, ASAM, AHCA, DCF, and Joint Commission documentation and clinical care standards
Knowledge of state and federal patient confidentiality laws, HIPAA, AHCA, and Joint Commission regulations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
Competence in documenting all relevant clinical activity in EMR/EHR systems

Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned in support of client care
Level 2 background check and drug screening required
Successful completion of required in-service training (e.g., CPR, HIPAA, OSHA, AIDS/HIV, COVID-19, Domestic Violence, Medical Errors, Baker Act, Co-Occurring Disorders, etc.)
Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
