We are seeking an energetic and experienced Part-Time Teacher to join our team! We provide an After School STEM Enrichment program throughout -Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties. As a Part-Time Teacher, you will lead a class of students through a successful school year, through the implementation of our proprietary comprehensive educational curriculum. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and has a passion for teaching k-8 students!

Responsibilities:

Implement our proprietary curriculum that meets school standards

Encourage the development of students’ critical thinking skills

Prepare in advance any necessary learning materials

Take attendance and account for all students whereabouts

Guide students through positive feedback

Document students’ learning progress

Collaborate with other teachers to share best practices and create a healthy and safe learning environment

Report and document behavioral incidents

Qualifications:

No teaching certification required

Previous experience teaching at the k-12 level is preferred

Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management

Strong organizational skills

Ability to adapt to changing circumstances
