Soccer Shots is hiring a part-time salaried Vice-Captain to help lead high-quality youth sports programs throughout Berks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties.
Position Overview
Position: Vice-Captain Employment Status: Part-time, salaried, exempt, and at-will Compensation: $650 per week Payroll: Semi-monthly Fuel Allowance: Company fuel card with an allowance of up to $100 per month Schedule: Five days per week, including one weekend day Session Load: Generally 30 or more sessions per week during peak seasons Availability Window: Sessions and responsibilities may be scheduled between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM Service Area: Berks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties
Scheduling will consider known school, work, and personal commitments whenever possible.

Weekly Salary
$650 per week
Paid semi-monthly
Compensation includes the regular assigned coaching schedule and related Vice-Captain responsibilities
Fuel Allowance
Company fuel card
Maximum allowance of $100 per month
Paid Time Off
Four paid time-off days per season
At least two weeks’ notice is required
PTO may not be used during the first or final week of a season
PTO may not be used more than once at the same program location
Additional pre-scheduled time away beyond the four paid days will be unpaid
Additional Sessions
Sessions accepted outside the regular salaried schedule may be paid at the Vice-Captain’s normal coaching rate when approved.

What You’ll Do
Leadership and Program Execution
Oversee and execute assigned Soccer Shots programs and seasons
Serve as a reliable leader and positive representative of the organization
Model professionalism, preparation, consistency, and accountability
Maintain dependable attendance and arrive prepared for every assignment
Attend required training sessions, development days, meetings, and team events
Support the Coaching Team and Leadership Team with seasonal priorities
Coaching and Curriculum Delivery
Lead engaging soccer sessions for children approximately 18 months through 8 years old
Follow the approved Soccer Shots curriculum and weekly lesson structure
Reinforce weekly character words and age-appropriate learning objectives
Create a safe, positive, inclusive, and high-energy environment
Demonstrate basic soccer skills, movement activities, and games
Adjust coaching methods based on children’s ages, abilities, and needs
Support introductory basketball and movement-based enrichment programs as assigned
Site Ownership and Communication
Take ownership of assigned schools, childcare centers, parks, and community programs
Arrive approximately 15 minutes before the first scheduled session
Review attendance and relevant site notes before coaching
Connect professionally with teachers, directors, administrators, and site staff
Communicate appropriately with families and program partners
Address routine questions and promptly escalate concerns, incidents, or sensitive situations
Maintain updated site-specific information and operational notes
Administration and Documentation
Cross-reference schedules and attendance information regularly
Complete required payroll and timekeeping documentation by established deadlines
Maintain accurate attendance records
Complete incident reports and other required documentation
Manage guest passes, marketing materials, and program handouts when assigned
Support coach or child spotlight features
Assist with end-of-season medals, certificates, and program materials
Communicate scheduling discrepancies or attendance concerns promptly
Scheduling and Seasonal Support
Maintain dependable availability five days per week, including one weekend day
Coach approximately 30 or more sessions per week during peak seasons
Travel reliably between assigned program locations
Support substitute assignments and coverage needs when available
Assist with demonstrations, camps, make-up sessions, and special events
Participate in flyer distribution and community outreach when assigned
Support preseason preparation and postseason organization
Assist with occasional field, equipment, or office-related responsibilities

Able to obtain all required state and federal clearances
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following areas is also helpful:
Youth sports coaching
Soccer instruction or playing experience
Early childhood education
Childcare or preschool programming
