Job Description

Pure Natural Vibes LLC is looking to contract an experienced Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment and enforce security protocols at our Cannabis Dispensary located in West Orange, New Jersey. The Security Officers will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees, customers, and premises. The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive knowledge of security procedures and regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.

NOTE: This is a part-time position. Hours are 4pm - 8:30pm (Closing shift). Can be shared if needed with another Security Guard.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems to identify and prevent potential security breaches.

· Conduct regular patrols of the dispensary premises to deter unauthorized access and ensure compliance with security regulations.

· Respond promptly to any security incidents, emergencies, or alarms, and take appropriate action to resolve the situation.

· Collaborate with dispensary staff to educate them on security procedures and best practices, ensuring their compliance and awareness.

· Stay updated on the latest security trends, technologies, and regulations to continuously improve the dispensary's security measures.

· Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and crisis management protocols.

· Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any security concerns or inquiries from employees and customers.

· Liaise with local law enforcement agencies, if necessary, to report incidents or seek assistance in handling security-related matters.

Qualifications

· Must be at least 21 years of age.

· Proven experience as a Security Officer, preferably in a cannabis dispensary or related industry.

· In-depth knowledge of security procedures, regulations, and best practices.

· Strong observational and analytical skills to identify potential security risks and take appropriate action.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees, customers, and law enforcement agencies.

· Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and make quick decisions.

· Proficient in operating surveillance systems, alarms, and access control systems.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.

· Physical fitness and ability to perform regular patrols and respond to emergencies.

· Valid (S.O.R.A) security license as required by local regulations.

· High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
