    🔧 About the Role:

    Faithworks is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Small Engine Mechanic & Equipment Manager to keep our landscaping tools and machinery running efficiently. This person will play a vital role in the success of our lawn maintenance crews by ensuring that our tools are clean, organized, properly maintained, and ready for use. You’ll also be responsible for using a mobile app to track equipment status, usage, and repairs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Small Engine Maintenance & Repair

    Diagnose and repair small engines (e.g., mowers, edgers, weed eaters, blowers, chainsaws)

    Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, spark plug replacements, air filter cleanings, and blade sharpening.

    Troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend repair or replacement when needed

    Tool & Equipment Management

    Clean and organize tools, trailers, and shop space daily/weekly

    Maintain a clean and safe equipment yard/workshop.

    Tag, label, and assign tools and equipment to crews as needed

    Keep track of tool condition and schedule repairs or replacements proactively

    Inventory & Technology Use

    Use an app (e.g., Fleetio, MaintainX, or similar) to track inventory, repairs, service logs, and tool check-outs

    Update equipment maintenance records in real-time using a tablet or smartphone

    Alert management to missing or damaged tools

    Requirements:

    Proven experience with minor engine repair (preferred 1–2 years minimum)

    Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in outdoor/shop environments

    Basic knowledge of gas-powered landscaping equipment

    Strong organizational and time management skills

    Comfort using apps or mobile tools for task tracking and inventory management

    Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Certifications in minor engine repair or related fields

    Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

    Experience working with lawn maintenance or landscaping companies
