LeafSpring School is seeking dependable, flexible, and nurturing Substitute Teachers to support our South Charlotte schools.

This is a part-time, as-needed position. Substitute Teachers may be assigned to different LeafSpring locations based on staffing needs and will work with children ranging from infancy through school age.

Responsibilities

Provide classroom coverage and support as assigned

Maintain active supervision and ensure children's safety

Follow classroom schedules, routines, and lesson plans

Engage children in age-appropriate learning and play

Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, rest periods, and transitions as appropriate

Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom

Follow health, sanitation, safety, licensing, and school requirements

Use positive guidance and classroom management practices

Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership

Complete required classroom documentation

Maintain confidentiality

Flex between classrooms, age groups, and school locations as needed

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old

High school diploma or GED required

Dependable, patient, nurturing, and flexible

Genuine love for working with children

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Comfortable working with infants through school-age children

Ability to adapt to different classrooms and teaching teams

Reliable transportation to travel between South Charlotte locations

Previous childcare, preschool, babysitting, camp, or youth experience preferred

CPR/First Aid preferred or willingness to obtain

Early Childhood Education coursework, CDA, or credentials are a plus

Schedule

This is a part-time substitute position with hours based on school staffing needs and employee availability.

Candidates should have availability during our operating hours of 7:00 AM–6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

No evenings or weekends.
