    Location: Therapist will see clients in both Longmont and Boulder offices, depending on where the need is.

    Pay Range: $35,000-37,000 per year depending on experience.

    Anticipated Start:

    Schedule: 20 hours per week (room for flexibility).

    About Us

    Blue Sky Bridge is Boulder County's Child Advocacy Center committed to addressing and eradicating child abuse and creating lasting change in our community. We have three programs: Prevention Education, Intervention, and Therapy. We use a child-focused approach to abuse investigations in partnership with law enforcement, social services and the District Attorney's office. Blue Sky Bridge provides skilled forensic interviews and medical exams of children as well as crisis counseling and support to non-offending caregivers, therapy for children and families, and education programs to increase community awareness and to empower the community to prevent sexual abuse of children. Blue Sky Bridge is a well-established organization in Boulder County with a strong base of financial support.

    The person filling this position is responsible for providing mental health assessment and treatment to children and their caregivers impacted by trauma. They will report to the Clinical Director, work on a team with other therapists, and work with forensic interviewers, family support advocates, and multidisciplinary partners.

    GENERAL DUTIES

    To support children, adolescents, and families as they heal from traumatic events.

    • Provide mental health assessment and treatment (specialized trauma-informed and evidence-based) to children, non-offending caregivers, and families.
    • Establish and maintain an appropriate therapeutic relationship with clients.
    • Maintain clinical record keeping requirements, including case conceptualizations, assessments, treatment, and termination documentation.
    • Participate in regular supervision, team, and staff meetings.
    • Maintain licensure in the state of Colorado and personal malpractice insurance.
    • Collaborate and communicate within the team, across Blue Sky Bridge teams, and across disciplines to further the mission of Blue Sky Bridge.
    • Promote and practice our organizational values of children first, be at our best, resilience & wellness, respect & inclusion, and gratitude.
    • Other duties include: attending and representing Blue Sky Bridge at community outreach events, fundraising events, and other community engagement activities, as needed.

    TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

    • Master's degree in a mental-health related field.
    • Current licensure, or working towards professional licensure in Colorado.

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Clinical experience with children and families.
    • Ability to work well with children and adolescents.
    • Flexibility and the ability to work well with a variety of disciplines throughout the organization.
    • Excellent communication and mediation skills.
    • Self-motivated.
    • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
    • Physically able to move between buildings, lift 20lbs, and go up and down stairs.

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    • Experience providing therapy related to trauma and abuse/neglect.
    • Trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and/or Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) strongly preferred.
    • Bilingual in Spanish.
    • Awareness of, and strategies for coping with, stress and/or vicarious trauma.
    • Confidence to express your thoughts, and reflective receptivity to feedback.
    • Understanding of child maltreatment, including sexual abuse and assault.
    • Knowledge of and sensitivity to family systems and child victimization.
    • Experience working in a Child Advocacy setting.
