Company Overview
The Whistling Kettle is the capital regions leading tea supplier. All our teas arrive to and are shipped from from our Albany facility.
Our Facility
We are a small but growing warehouse with an intimate, friendly work environment. Our employees are tasked with working on team-building projects through the picking, packing and shipping process of online orders, as well as packing the hundreds of loose leaf teas in our catalog.
Responsibilities
Follow all policies and procedures in processing, picking, and packing daily ecommerce orders.
Follow all policies and procedures in processing tea and managing inventory.
Assist in periodic warehouse wide inventory counts.
Assist in checking in and accounting for inbound shipments - Lift and carry 50+ lb. boxes
Ensure that workspaces are clean and tidy.
Provide any feedback on issues with current processing or performance barriers to management.
Additional assistance with projects may be required as needed.
Qualifications
Our shifts are all during the regular work week, Monday-Friday between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM
Must have the ability to communicate and work as a team with staff and management. Communication would require raising issues to management, the ability to be friendly to colleagues, and the ability to take accountability when there are errors.
Must have attention to detail and accuracy. Must be able to weigh items accurately.
Must have good calculation and basic math skills.
Being able to work in Google Sheets or Excel spreadsheets is a bonus.

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all machinery used daily. This includes but may not be limited to the following:
Tea Packing Machine
Tea Bagging Machine
Heat Sealer
Scales
Packaging machine (Mini-Pak'r)
