Floor Coverings International of North Seattle & Seattle Shoreline is a locally owned and growing flooring business looking for a dependable, energetic person to help with warehouse operations, deliveries, and day-to-day business needs.

This could be a great fit for a college student or someone interested in entrepreneurship, business, operations, construction, or simply looking for a flexible part-time position with variety.

You'll work directly with the business owner and our team and get a behind-the-scenes look at how a growing small business operates—from purchasing and inventory to logistics, sales, customer service, and project management.

What You'll Do

Receive, organize, and prepare flooring materials for upcoming projects

Pick up materials from local flooring distributors

Deliver flooring and supplies to customer job sites throughout the Seattle area

Load and unload flooring, tools, and supplies

Maintain an organized warehouse

Help manage inventory, samples, and incoming deliveries

Assist with occasional showroom and general business needs

Help solve the miscellaneous day-to-day challenges that come with running a growing business

Schedule

Approximately 10–20 hours per week.

The schedule will vary depending on deliveries, material pickups, and project needs. We're looking for someone who values a flexible schedule but also has some weekday/daytime availability.

We'll work around school and other commitments whenever possible, but this position is best for someone whose schedule has some flexibility.

Who We're Looking For

Dependable and responsible

Valid driver's license and safe driving record

Comfortable driving a company vehicle

Able to safely lift and move flooring materials and other heavy items, up to 75lbs

Organized and able to work independently

Comfortable interacting professionally with customers, installers, and suppliers

Willing to jump in and help wherever needed

No flooring or warehouse experience required—we'll teach you

Especially Great for Someone Interested In Business

If you're interested in eventually owning a business, working in operations, sales, construction, real estate, or entrepreneurship, this position offers an opportunity to see how a real small business operates every day.

You'll have the opportunity to learn about sales, purchasing, inventory, logistics, project management, customer service, marketing, and the financial side of running a business—not just warehouse work.

Compensation

$25/hour, depending on experience.

We sell and install hardwood, luxury vinyl, carpet, tile, laminate, sheet vinyl, area rugs, stair runners, and other flooring products.
