The Opportunity: We’re looking for a highly skilled OSINT/online investigator — meaning someone who can find, verify, and interpret information from publicly available online sources, including hard-to-find places like private forums or encrypted chat groups. No hacking or unlawful access — just expert-level open-source research to spot threats others miss. First-hand knowledge of English-speaking online communities, slang, idioms, and customs is essential.
What You Will Do:
- Search, access, and analyze public and encrypted platforms (WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Reddit, TikTok, Facebook, X/Twitter, and emerging networks) for client-related risks.
- Identify intellectual property threats on emerging and established platforms.
- Apply advanced open-source intelligence (OSINT) methods to collect, verify, and interpret online data.
- Maintain accuracy and confidentiality while meeting strict deadlines.
- Adapt quickly to new tools, trends, and technologies in the digital landscape.
Qualifications:
- Native or near-native fluency in English.
- First-hand familiarity with English-speaking online spaces, including regional slang, memes, and cultural references.
- Proven skill in online research, including social media, forums, and encrypted communications.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Self-sufficiency and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
