Private family seeks an experienced, proactive, and highly organized Part-Time Housekeeper to provide comprehensive housekeeping, laundry, organization, and household support within their West Village residence. This is an excellent opportunity for a discreet, service-minded professional who takes pride in maintaining an exceptionally clean, organized, and welcoming home.

The ideal candidate has prior experience working in private households and possesses a strong understanding of luxury home care, professionalism, and discretion. They are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and naturally proactive, with the ability to anticipate household needs while working independently with minimal oversight. A reserved, respectful demeanor and the ability to work quietly while one principal is working from home are essential.

This position is approximately 20 hours per week, generally scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00/8:00am until 12:00/1:00pm. The family is seeking a long-term professional who is dependable, organized, and committed to maintaining the home to the highest standards. Light meal preparation is a welcomed bonus but is not required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform all aspects of detailed housekeeping and deep cleaning throughout the residence

• Care for fine furnishings, specialty surfaces, and delicate household finishes using proper cleaning methods and products

• Maintain the overall cleanliness, presentation, and organization of the home

• Perform all household laundry, including washing, folding, ironing, steaming, wardrobe care, and dry-cleaning coordination

• Organize closets, cabinets, storage areas, and household spaces while implementing and maintaining efficient organizational systems

• Run household errands, including grocery shopping, dry cleaning, package returns, and other household-related tasks

• Monitor household supplies and communicate replenishment needs

• Provide light meal preparation on occasion, if desired

• Occasionally let the family dog outside as needed (no additional pet care responsibilities)

• Assist with additional housekeeping and household support responsibilities as requested

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5-7 years of professional housekeeping experience within private residences

• Excellent references from both current and previous employers

• Strong laundry, ironing, wardrobe care, and garment maintenance experience

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

• Proactive, self-directed, and able to anticipate household needs

• Ability to work independently while maintaining a quiet, respectful presence in an occupied home

• Professional, discreet, and naturally reserved demeanor

• Comfortable working in a home with a dog and cat

• Light meal preparation experience is a plus

• Strong command of the English language with excellent communication skills

• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Compensation: $40-$50 per hour, commensurate with experience
