Part-time Dental Assistant Instructor
Mid-America Nursing & Allied-Health is seeking a Dental Assistant Instructor to join our team. Our instructor of choice will have excellent people skills, be able to provide students with the skills and knowledge they will need to effectively function in the role of dental assistant in any dentistry practice. This is a part-time position working on campus.
Primary Responsibilities:
Effectively present in-class lectures, demonstrate good hands-on lab skills that are consistent with course syllabus, policies and procedures related to the program.
Provide students with timely feedback on academic progress and be able to address any concern registered by students where applicable.
Able to maintain accurate students’ records and ensure compliance with attendance policy.
Demonstrate expertise in the dental assisting profession
Education and Experience
3-5 years in general dentistry practice
2-3 years’ experience teaching dental assistant is a plus but not required.
Active CPR/BLS for Healthcare Provider card issued by the American Hearts Associate (AHA)
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite of applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a highly diversified environment.
Must consistently demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, and autonomy.
Available class runs from September 12th, 2025 to June 13th, 2026. The class schedule is Friday & Saturday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. If hired for this role, the job start date would be in August for training.
