Job Summary:

As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our school, ensuring it reflects the high standards we uphold for our children, families, and staff. Responsibilities:

Kitchen Prep(meals, clean-up)

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the school facility, including classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, kitchens, and common areas(including breakroom/conference room, and playgrounds)

Perform daily, weekly, monthly cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces

Take out trash and recycling in a timely and efficient manner

Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies

Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify management when supplies need to be reordered

Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored

Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines as required by state licensing and school policy

Respond promptly to spills, messes, or other urgent cleaning needs during operating hours

Support school staff with light maintenance duties as needed (e.g., assembling furniture, changing light bulbs)

Communicate any facility or maintenance concerns to management

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods

Must be able to pass a background check and meet all state licensing requirements
