About the Role:

A Part-time Insurance Biller and play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the coverage they deserve. With a focus on patient care and community service, you'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to making dental health accessible in San Diego.

Responsibilities:

Process and submit insurance claims accurately and timely.

Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.

Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues.

Maintain organized patient records and billing documentation.

Assist patients with billing inquiries and payment plans.

Collaborate with dental staff to ensure accurate coding of procedures.

Stay updated on insurance policies and regulations.

Prepare monthly reports on billing activities and collections.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in billing preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in dental billing or medical billing.

Proficient in dental billing software and electronic health records specifically Dentrix Ascend Cloud-based software.

Strong understanding of insurance policies and procedures.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of dental terminology and coding (e.g., CDT codes).
