Location: Neosho Fish Hatchery Position Type: Part-Time Schedule:

November – March: Monday and Friday (2 days per week)

April – October: Monday, Wednesday, Friday (3 days per week) Hours: Maximum of 3 hours per day

Job Summary:

The part-time janitorial position at the Neosho Fish Hatchery involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility. The position is responsible for routine cleaning tasks and ensuring the hatchery is presentable and safe for staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning & Sanitizing:

Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all common areas, offices, and restroom facilities.

Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and mirrors.

Empty trash bins and replace liners in all areas.

Wipe down surfaces such as countertops, desks, and tables.

Dust and clean windowsills, light fixtures, and vents.

Inventory Management:

Monitor cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when stock levels are low.

Ensure proper storage and use of cleaning products.

General Maintenance:

Report any maintenance issues, such as broken fixtures or plumbing problems, to management for prompt repair.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following proper cleaning protocols.

Qualifications:

Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred but not required.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Knowledge of basic cleaning methods and the proper handling of cleaning supplies and equipment.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

Reliable transportation to commute to the Neosho Fish Hatchery.

Additional Information:

Some flexibility in schedule may be required to accommodate special events or facility needs.

Compensation:

$18/hr
