    Position: Maintenance

    Summary: Maintenance staff must possess entry level knowledge of basic building and custodial maintenance. Some

    trade support is important, i.e. general facility repairs, maintenance, masonry, custodial, carpentry, painting, doors, HVAC

    systems, gates, golf carts, and etc. StoreRight Self Storage seeks employees that have pro-active, positive attitudes, and

    operate with integrity. Maintenance may provide service for single or multiple locations. This position is part-time,

    averaging 10 hours per week.

    Maintenance works under the direction of the Property Manager and Relief Manager.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Perform all duties in compliance with safety standards as outlined

    in StoreRight Safety Manual.

    • Consistently apply company philosophy, policies, and procedures as outlined in the StoreRight Procedure Manual.

    • Meet standards of cleanliness and appearances in office, restrooms, hallways, drives, grounds, and company units.

    • Clean vacated units on a timely basis; review door components for functionality, replace parts as necessary; report

    deficiencies to Property Manager promptly to keep units in rentable status.

    • Inspect for pest control and take appropriate action.

    • Inspect and maintain golf cart to meet quality standards. Inspect tires, keep batteries charged and maintained, keep seats

    and exterior panels clean and in good appearance.

    • Ensure the facility has sufficient supplies on hand to perform job effectively. Notify Property Manager accordingly.

    • Monitor and clean exterior areas and grounds, and take necessary action to meet company appearance standards.

    • Monitor the physical condition of the facility and report maintenance requirements and potential equipment failures to

    Property Manager.

    • Monitor contracted maintenance work being done while on duty and report status to Property Manager.

    • Perform minor nonstructural repairs as needed on doors, fencing, and buildings as needed.

    • Replace a/c unit filters, monitor temperature settings, and perform minor preventative maintenance that does not require a

    licensed professional.

    • Complete assigned tasks within quality, time, and financial limits.

    • Performs touch up painting and landscaping maintenance on property.

    • Perform other duties as assigned; work with minimum direct supervision; operate effectively on a team.

    Additional Skills and Competencies:

    • Able to perform light maintenance and custodial work.

    • Skill in interacting with the public and providing customer service.

    • High School diploma/GED equivalent, one year of related experience and/or training is required. Certifications are helpful but

    not required.

    • Must have a current driver’s license, successfully complete a background check, and maintain sufficient auto insurance.

    Communication and/or Supervisory Duties

    • Communicates effectively with Property Manager, and Relief Manager.

    • Interacts with StoreRight customers in a polite, friendly, and professional manner.
