    PURPOSE STATEMENT

    As a merchandiser, you will be fully responsible for unpacking and displaying quality products to our supermarket accounts. This includes traveling from account to account to unpack delivered goods, arrange, organize and display merchandise. Effective customer service and communication with RSR and store personnel.

    This will cover the Miami and the South Florida area. This is part time opportunity and will work about 25hours/ week and will start between 8am-9am Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Must have reliable transportation with a clean driving record.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

    Product Handling and Transportation

    • Manages and accurately tracks inventory of product. Works with personnel to resolve any discrepancies.

    • Unloads product from back of store, handling product carefully to ensure continued product and packaging quality.

    • Travel from account to account to properly rotate products in the supermarket Carvel freezer. Effectively displaying and displaying store merchandise.

    • Maintains supermarket Carvel freezers in a clean and neat manner, ensuring than Carvel products and packaging are fresh, clean and attractive.

    Customer Service

    • Builds and maintains positive, productive relationships with supermarket operations personnel, resolving product or service problems promptly and ensuring excellent customer relations.

    • Assist with merchandising standards and objectives including hanging shelf tags and promotional POS materials. Increases impulse sales through point-of-sale promotions and special displays.

    • Performs preventive maintenance on supermarket freezers.

    • Develop routine to assure prompt arrival at customer location after truck delivery.

    • Responsible for other duties as assigned including providing backup for other merchandisers if needed.

    • Attend sales meetings as required.

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

    • High school diploma or GED.

    • Clean, valid driver's license necessary.

    • Reliable transportation.

    • Prior customer service experience preferably in retail setting.

    • Minimum one year of applicable experience.

    • Physically able to perform the job:

    • Extended standing, driving are required;

    • Push/pull up to 50 pounds: required on a routine basis.

    • Ability to get in and out of car multiple times per day and able to spend up to 30% of the day in the car traveling to and from accounts in city, rural and expressway conditions.

    • Ability to tolerate exposure to store and warehouse conditions including wide variances in temperature.

    • Able and willing to travel up to 50% of the time.

    • Self-motivated, able to take initiative and use sound judgment in day-to-day decision making.

    • Punctual and reliable in their work attendance.

    • Professional, courteous, reliable, and mature, with outstanding organizational and communication skills.

    • Flexible and able to work with others as a team.
